This recorded training explores suicidality and suicide related constructs in relation to child and play therapy work. There are a growing number of young children who discuss, think about, and even attempt to harm themselves. Topics covered include exploring suicide talk, ideation, and presentation that appears in child and play therapy work with young children. This course will present information on how suicide ideation presents in young children and how to assess, understand, and work to address issues through a play therapy process. Assessment and intervention ideas will be shared along with case examples.
